Bear Island WMA

Bear Island Wildlife Management Area in the ACE Basin is one of the best places for birding in South Carolina. The state-owned property in Colleton County is managed for waterfowl habitat and to protect local endangered and migratory non-game species.
Jerry Bright and Jeff Kline are the regional directors leading this trip. We’ll meet at the ranger station on Ti Ti Road at 10:30 am. Go through the gate and across the dike. The station is on the right.
There are both walking and driving options during this outing, so there are opportunities for everyone to enjoy this beautiful area.
